Our inhouse design team consists of F Gas, Gas Safe, and NIC engineers with both HVAC air conditioning, electrical, and mechanical skills with a combined 40 + years of experience, enabling Spectra to engage with our clients from initial enquiry to project completion.

Once instructed to commence with project works, attention to detail remains priority, each project is managed by a SMSTS project engineer. The dedicated in-house teams have CITB 2079 F Gas, Approved NICEIC status, or Gas Safe qualifications, lead engineers have industry recognised SSSTS training, each operative will ensure that all aspects of the installation whether it be Health & Safety, on site project management, all communication will exceed your expectations.

F-Gas

Most air conditioning and heat pump systems contain hydrofluorocarbons which are a type of fluorinated greenhouse gas or “F-Gas”. Companies which operate or service and maintain equipment containing F-Gas refrigerants must meet certain requirements by law, and as a F-Gas certified company REF:1020301 Spectra Energy Group Ltd can provide advice and services for everything to ensure full compliance with F-Gas regulations.

Gas Safe

Commercial boilers, clarifiers that operate on mains gas, require a annual gas safe service and detailed inspections including solenoid valve testing, incoming property gas supply checks, and purge leak checks. Spectra Energy Group Ltd can ensure you remain compliant.

Health & safety and security

The company’s health & safety record is exemplary and all projects are fully risk assessed before they start. We have a H&S consultant manager who overseas all health and safety elements of the business. In addition we are certified members of the Alcumus Safe Contractor Scheme, and a member of SSIP.

TM44 Air Conditioning Audits

We provide a nationwide Air Conditioning Inspection service following the TM44 inspection guidelines. A building audit lasts for 5 years and is certificated on the government’s main site.

Penalties for not having an Air Conditioning Inspection report:

Local authorities are responsible for enforcing the requirements relating to Air Conditioning Inspection reports. The failure to commission, keep, or provide an Air Conditioning Inspection report when required by the Regulations means you may be issued with a penalty charge notice.

Systems requiring Air Conditioning Inspection:

All air conditioning systems with an effective rated output of more than 12kW must be inspected by an Accredited Air Conditioning Inspector and certificates must be produced via CLG software report production tool for mandatory lodgement on the Government Landmark Database.

Where can I find out if my building holds a valid TM44 Air Conditioning Certificate:

Since 2012 all reports and certificates are lodged on the non-domestic Energy Performance of Buildings Register. All completed inspections are recorded and held on this online government web site and are linked to the building address. To see if your facility has a current certificate simple visit the site and search using your business address postcode. A TM44 Air Conditioning report & Certificate will be prefixed with the word “AIRCON”.
